Good morning and Happy HUMP DAY to you! I hope you all had a fabulous long weekend celebrating America’s birthday like I did!!
Let’s back up to Monday….the day Michael & I went to buy my new car!! It is so cute and drives so nice! I ended up buying the 2017 VW Tiguan in white, I named her Ella (for Cinderella, of course) Check her out!
We took many selfies in the car, and Michael was for sure getting sick of it, but I was so excited!! 😉
After being at the car dealership for a while, we went to get some lunch at Panera and sat outside to enjoy the glorious weather! I ordered a Strawberry Poppyseed Salad without nuts and the dressing on the side, Michael ordered the Turkey & Bacon Bravo with chips. He also got a bowl of Baked Potato soup, but it was lookin’ pretty nasty and old.
Once we were done with lunch, we had to go back to the dealership to wait for Geico to do their job, but it took way longer than expected so we just left…..IN MY NEW CAR! Wee!!!!!
When we got home I picked up my brother and took him for a ride and got some Starbucks 🙂
Michael was over at his friend’s house, which I joined a little after. It has been forever (since the wedding?!!!) since I have seen everyone! It was so nice to hangout with all of these great people that we love!! 🙂
We took some silly pictures when we were driving back home…Hahahaha! It was a much needed fun night out!
Tuesday, the fourth of July, Michael & I woke up early to hit the beach!!! Thankfully, Michael drove so I didn’t have to park cute Ella in those awful parking lots and risk any damage to her beauty 😉
We stopped at Fast Eddie’s Diner when we got off the highway….ummmm GO HERE if you are in the New Hampshire/Hampton area! It is such a cute diner with good food and friendly staff!
We both ordered some coffee and water right away since we were just a little sleepy. I ordered a fruit bowl and a toasted english muffin (the usual), Michael ordered “The Big Ed” which came with pancakes, eggs, homefries, sausage, ham, and bacon. He also ordered a side of toast. I may have stolen a few bites of pancakes from his plate, oops. 😉
Once we got to the (packed) beach, we found a spot and relaxed in the sun, walking down to the water to freeze our feet off. It was so cold it hurt!
Of course, we went to Sabo’s Subs for some delicious wraps! I cannot stop raving about how amazing this place is because of the new owners. They have completely changed it for the better, but still kept the food exactly the same. We will forever keep going back to Sabo’s! I ordered a vegetarian, and Michael ordered the roast beef & turkey with extra meat. (Sorry, we were so excited about our wraps I only realized I hadn’t taken a picture until after we dug in!) YUM!!!
Naturally, we walked into the candy store to buy my nephew’s some lollipops and some salt water taffy for Michael. We laid out on the beach for a little while longer before we went on a hunt for some shaved ice. Now, I don’t know what I was imagining in my brain but I didn’t want a snow cone. I guess I wanted Italian Ice? But we found some shaved ice, and bummer…it was a snow cone.
The ride home was so much fun. We blasted the music and had a dance party. I swear, we probably look like fools but I don’t care hahahaha 😉 We also stopped at Dunkin’ to get some coffee! Since being in the sun all day, I didn’t want my usual hot coffee….iced coffee it was!
We arrived home with just enough time to shower and get ready to go over to my parents’ house for a cookout!
My dad, the grill master, made a lot of meat: hamburgers, cheeseburgers, steak, chicken, chicken wings, & hot dogs. My sister made pasta salad and my mom had fruit salad, salad, and french fries.
We had so much fun just hanging out outside with everyone. Gio & Enzo were the stars of the night….just such cuties!
We had a fantastic 4th!! 🙂
I hope you all have a great Wednesday! I started my day with a 4.5 mile run..did you get your workout in already?!? Xoxoxo
