Good Morning beautiful people! Happy Tuesday to you! (You know I don’t really like Tuesday’s around here, but we are going to make the best of it!) My weekend is over and I am already looking forward to another weekend.
I can’t believe summer is coming to an end soon. I haven’t even gone to the beach nearly as much as I wanted to. 😦 I really hope we get to go one more time before summer is officially over. Seriously, “summer” does not last long around here. Soon it will be snowing 😦 BOOOO!
This past weekend was a great one!
Friday was a rainy day, and since I still wasn’t feeling too great, I curled up on the couch with my heated blanket and a cup of green tea and watched Home Alone..again. No shame in that, my friends!
Saturday after work I went to my sister’s house to hangout with her and my nephews. They are just so cute! Gio and I played Hungry Hungry Hippos, and of course he won. I wasn’t actually playing and just let his blue hippo eat up all the balls.
I also caught up on the latest Real Housewives of New York City Reunion, and WTF!?!? Ramona is 60?! This was news to me. The lady looks great for her age! She brings a whole new meaning to her old tagline “like a fine wine, I get better with time”. Of course, she has had A LOT of work done, and isn’t shy about it either. To tell you the truth, I was not only shocked at how great she looks but I mean….a 60 year old lady ACTS LIKE THAT?!?! Bitch is craaaayyyyy!!!! I have grown to like her this season, in the beginning not so much, but I’ll take her crazy any day over the boring Real Housewives of Orange County. (I just can’t get into it this season!)
Sunday I went to the grocery store with my Dad, then went over my sister’s for some more play time with my nephews! Later in the day, Michael & I actually had a chance to spend some time together because he had the day off from work! We went to a nearby park for a walk and so he could try to catch some fishies.
Since it was such a beautiful day outside, after dinner we decided to go walk around another nearby park/field to enjoy some more outdoor time! I really don’t want summer to end, so I gotta soak up what little is left!
Monday was another beautiful day outside! After cleaning around our place all morning, I went to my parent’s house to pop in and say hi (as if we don’t see each other enough 😉 ) And of course I had to stop by my sister’s house to snuggle up and play with my nephews!
Michael got home from training jujitsu just in time for us to try to catch the Solar Eclipse! We hopped in my car to head out to a park where we could watch. Some nice lady saw us sitting there looking up at the sun with no glasses on (the horror), and she just happened to have two extra special glasses that she had given to us! It was so nice of her!! At first I had absolutely no idea how those things worked because they are completely BLACK when you look through them, I thought it was a joke. Hahaha! Leave it to me to be a
dumb blonde. But we got the hang of it and got to see the eclipse!!
It was really cool! Did you catch the Solar Eclipse? Did you have the special glasses?
After the Solar Eclipse, we went for a walk for a while…once again enjoying the beautiful day it was! We went to the grocery store (again), ate dinner, caught up on Power (OMG OMG), Ballers, and Survivor’s Remorse. Once Michael left again for jujitsu, I tuned into Bachelor in Paradise, which was cut off by the President speaking….so instead I turned on a whole new level of DRAMA. Enter= Baller Wives. Ohhhh my goodness. I only watched that for about a half hour then this old lady called it a night. 😉
This morning started with a bodyweight circuit workout, followed by a 2.5 mile run on my treadmill. My circuit workout looked like this: 50 jumping jacks, 40 squats, 30 crunches, 20 push ups, 10 burpees, and 5 mountain climbers. Repeating it 3 times, and adding a 1 minute plank at the end. It took me about 20 minutes.
So, you know how I said yesterday that I wasn’t really interested in It’s Always the Husband? Well….if I skipped the first half of the book and just started reading a little bit past the middle of it, I would totally be into it. It is finally getting going and I am finally into it. I’m sure I will be done this book in no time and in need of a new book one- that actually keeps my attention through out the whole entire book…beginning, middle, and end!
Now, I gotta get ready and head out to work! I hope you all have a wonderful day! 🙂 Xoxo
