Weekend Happenings

Hello! Happy Monday to you! I hope you had a great weekend, and are enjoying your extra day off today for the holiday if you get one?! 😉 Like always, Monday is still apart of “my weekend” so I’m pretty much in weekend mode still.

As you can imagine, my weekend was filled with lots of laughs, lots of snuggles, and lots of play time with my nephews!  I also must mention, my voice has been sounding terrible all weekend long. I don’t really know what is going on, for the first couple days I was thinking it was laryngitis, but slowly my throat began to hurt and now I am just hoping it is not something more serious. 🙁 I swear, my throat felt perfectly fine until about Saturday night. Remember the last couple times I thought I was coming down with something? Well my body kept fighting it off, and I think it is now coming back at me with a vengeance.

Friday after work, I went to my sister’s house to play with my boos. My parents were babysitting in the evening so I stuck around to help them out and play! We had lots of fun playing Superheroes and flying (running) around the house finding the “bad guys” and saving the world with our laser eyes. I’ll tell ya, the imagination on Gio is brilliant. Oh, and whatever Gio did, Enzo did…so if he was “punching” out a bad guy, as was Enzo. So cute! Enzo wants to be just like his big brother!!

Saturday started with a 3 mile run. After, I worked my core with some ab exercises and some planks, then got ready for the day ahead! We closed the store a bit early due to the holiday weekend, which meant I was able to head over to my sister’s house earlier than usual to squeeze my little babies and give them lots of love. We all went to Target and had lots of fun. Enzo has started to call me “Tauntie” more often now, and he was for sure yelling it inside the store even as I was pushing the carriage 😉 I love it so much!!!

As always, we stopped at Starbucks on our way out to get some Iced Green Teas for my sister & I, and two pink cake pops for the boys!! We then had a dance party in the car, because all that sugar naturally made for some hyper boos!!

I came home to a surprise box at my door! I couldn’t figure out what it could be, but as I opened it I was super excited that it was my medal for completing the 5k Virtual Running Shorts with runDisney!! Next summer, I am for sure going to sign up for all 3 of them, but I am happy with 2 this year since I signed up late for the party! img_2171

The rest of the night was spent catching up on Real Housewives of New Jersey, and Real Housewives of Orange County. I must say, I definitely bawled my eyes out in the beginning of RHONJ for Teresa and her father. It made me super sad and brought me back to when my Grammy passed away and reminded me of how my Grampy was. 🙁 So sad. But, anyways, on a happier note, I AM ALREADY OBSESSED! I can already tell I am going to love this season! I don’t hate the fact that Danielle is back in the game. I actually kind of like it! RHOC is still boring me, but I do love Lydia, and her mom with all of their sparkles and crowns!! 🙂

Sunday I was fighting myself to get out of bed because Saturday I was tossing and turning all night due to my sore throat. It really didn’t hurt prior, so I thought I was in the clear and just thought my voice was off, but maybe not. I got up and chugged a bottle of water. I didn’t want to push my body too hard workout wise, so I ran 1.5 miles, then switched it up and walked on an incline for about 40 minutes. I enjoyed my hot coffee from DD while watching Joel Osteenimg_2187

It was a very rainy, dreary, and dark morning around here, but I braved the rain storm and headed to the grocery store with my Daddy before heading to my sister’s house for some playtime with my nephews.

CHEESE!

I came home a little while later and happily stayed on the couch for most of the afternoon watching Hallmark Movies until Michael got home from jujitsu training around 4. We relaxed, watched football, ate dinner, and caught up on the latest episode of How To Get Away With Murder, and Gotham. How To Get Away With Murder totally had me on edge all episode long.  I can’t wait to see how this season ends! Eeeeeek! I just love that about this show, they have you guessing the ending all season long and takes you on many twists and turns…it is the best! I sipped on some cinnamon tea Michael made me, in my favorite Live with Kelly mug while we relaxed. 🙂img_2198

I slept pretty good last night, but my throat is still feeling sore. Once again, I didn’t want to push my body too hard (I had planned an interval run this morning, but quickly switched that) so I ran 1 mile and walked for another 30 minutes. I had a nice “Good morning” note on my DD coffee this morning, which always makes my Monday..as does Kelly and Ryan 🙂 img_2199

I have a hair appointment today, and then plan to fully enjoy this day off and watch lots of movies and relax. It is another rainy, dreary day out there so it is perfect lazy, movie watching weather if you ask me 😉

Have a great day, lovelies! Xoxo
