Heyyyy! One more day until Friday, we can do it!
I’m writing this post a bit later than usual, only because I didn’t get a chance to blog last night (too busy watching Miss Christmas on the Hallmark Channel, I admit it) and I had to sub this morning, but I am finally here!
What do you do when you don’t have a Disney trip planned for 105 days?
If you are like me, you cry princess tears to your husband to try to get him to take you to Disney to see the beautiful Christmas lights.
But, what do you do when he just laughs at you and says absolutely not, you ask?!
You do as this little girl did, DUH.
…just kidding. But really, I am in major need of some Disney magic. So I figured I would do what I do best today, talk about Disney! (And cross my fingers that my sweet, sweet husband will read this and come to his senses to realize I NEED DISNEY!)
Today is the first day of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, which runs on specific nights from now until December 22 in the Magic Kingdom. (Yes, you need to purchase a separate ticket for this special event, but if you are Annual Passholders like Michael & I, you get a discount!) Now that I have done Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, I can say that the Christmas Party is much better, in my opinion. I mean, really, who doesn’t love all things Christmas?!?
And, if you didn’t already know it, Christmas is my jam. Truth be told, I listen to Christmas music, and watch Christmas movies ALL year long. No shame over here, no shame at all. So, what better time than Christmas time to visit my favorite place in the world?!?!
If you are like me, and you need to convince your dear husband to take your sassy self to Disney World for Christmas, then please try convincing him with all of these reasons why it is mandatory to get yo butt down to The World during the most magical time of the year!
So without anymore rambling, here’s my Top 8 Reasons why Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is AMAZING! (Please note, these pictures were taken 2 years ago, when I didn’t have this lovely blog, so the quality is kinda crumby)
- Princess Elsa lights up Cinderella’s Castle, and makes it all types of BEAUTIFUL!
- It SNOWS on Main Street, and it’s not freezing cold!
- Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is THE BEST parade around. The gang is all in their winter swag!!
- Anna, Elsa, and Olaf make an appearance!!
- Christmas music blares through the speakers, which makes me INSANELY happy
- There are Christmas decorations all over the park!
- The fireworks are GORGEOUS, as always
- Complementary treats…meaning, FREE TREATS YA’LL!!!!
Sadly I have no pictures of these delicious treats, but you can find all of these goodies at the following places:
Tortuga Tavern: Snowman Soft Pretzel and Sno-Cone
Liberty Square Ticket Office: Ginger Molasses Cookie and Eggnog
The Friar’s Nook: Silky Smooth DOVE® Chocolate and Sparkling Apple Cider (candies provided by DOVE® Chocolate and J&J Snack Foods)
Pete’s Silly Sideshow: Peppermint Crunch Cookie and Nestle® Nesquik®
Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café: Snickerdoodle Cookie and Hot Chocolate
Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies: Santa Claus Cookie and Sno-Cone
(I got all of that information right off the Disney World website!)
So hopefully, you got some motivation to go to Disney World during the most magical time of the year, or anytime for that matter, because if you ever have the chance to go to Disney World during the Christmas Party, I highly recommend you do it! It is worth every penny!
Staying on the topic of Disney, today, (day nine) I am thankful for all of our past and future Disney trips!!
