Hey hey! Happy Tuesday to you! We are getting buried, once again, with tons of snow. It totally is not pretty, but we can’t change the weather can we?! 🙁
In honor of the snow and feeling super cold, I am taking it back (once again) to when we were surrounded by sunshine, palm trees, castles, and pixie dust in Disney! Today I’m focusing on the AMAZING time we had at dinner at Chef Mickey’s on our last night of our trip!
After spending the afternoon in Magic Kingdom, we headed over to the Contemporary Resort for dinner. We were a bit early for our reservation, so we sat at the bar at Outer Rim! We both ordered a cocktail (I always order a Stoli Vanilla and Diet Coke, with cherries. This is my go to whenever I get a drink somewhere, which isn’t often). Cheers!
Shortly after, it was time for Chef Mickey’s!
I know I mentioned before on the blog, but after having lots of bread on our trips to Disney my stomach usually gets pretty upset with me and I think it has to do with the gluten. So, when we arrived at Chef Mickey’s for check in, I asked the cast member if I could speak to the chef once we sit down. Our waitress was absolutely amazing. She had two chefs come out to speak with me about my dietary needs and talked with me about what I wanted to eat. I was informed that I could have ANYTHING my heart desired! Chef Michelle and Chef Matt were the best ever. I asked for (shocker here) a salad of romaine lettuce, vegetables, with balsamic vinegar, and any gluten free bread they can find. Chef Matt informed me that the gluten free rolls that I have been having at other restaurants weren’t available at Chef Mickey’s but he would see what else they had. After about 10 minutes, Chef Michelle came out with a GLORIOUS plate of heaven. I mean, have you seen anything so beautiful before?! Haha. I also went up to the buffet many times to fill up a plate of fruit salad for myself.
I seriously felt like we were royalty and have never been treated so well at Chef Mickey’s ever! Other times when we ate dinner here, we felt rushed and overlooked. But not this time! Our waitress made sure all of the characters came to our table RIGHT AWAY when we sat down. And I mean right away! It was incredible the service and treatment we were getting!
First up was Donald; who was all types of cute and fun!
Goofy was his normal goofy and silly self 😉
Pluto was super fun and was full of jokes
Minnie was in awe of my 10K medal, she even tried to run around the restaurant with me! Haha!
And, finally, the star of the show: Mickey!
Before we knew it, Chef Michelle came back out to our table with a fresh (and delicious!!!) gluten free chocolate cupcake. How seriously amazing!! Michael also got us a cup of soft serve ice cream with sprinkles from the buffet!
We were both super stuffed! And absolutely so amazed with how our last night in Disney went! I think our faces hurt from smiling the whole entire time we were there! 😉 I highly recommend dining at Chef Mickey’s!
Have a great day!! ♥♥
