First day of May

Good morning! Happy Tuesday and happy first day of May!! It’s crazy how fast time is going, it seems like we were just celebrating Christmas and New Years. How did that happen so fast?!

The sun is shining and we are going to have some beautiful days ahead of us! Also, we are TWO weeks away from our vacation!! I am so pumped! Are you sick of hearing my countdown everyday for our vacation? Oh well. You should know by now I have countdowns for EVERYTHING! 😉

Last night I got the worst sleep ever. My stomach hurt and I came to the conclusion that it must be something I am eating…..such as the grapes I eat at night, every single night, since that is usually when my stomach is upset. Every night I get myself some grapes and my own little version of cereal mix: rice chex, cheerios, and rice cakes. Okay, maybe not every night, but more often than not I will snack on this before bed! And after I eat those grapes my stomach is so angry at me. So I threw out the grapes last night and vowed to not buy them again so I am not tempted to eat them. I am hoping this does the trick and makes my stomach happier, if not I will have to experiment some more. It could also be the romaine lettuce I ate the other day because I wasn’t able to get iceberg lettuce like usual in my salad….ahhh! Could also be that too. But I figured I would first try eliminating grapes out of my diet since the pain comes right after I eat them, and see if that helps at all! Funny story: when I told Michael I had a bad stomach ache last night after eating, he was like “aren’t you allergic to grape stuff anyways?” Omg! He is brilliant! I SO am allergic to grape. More so “purple dye” from when I was a child (like purple liquid medications…), and I remember swearing off eating or drinking anything that had to do with purple and/or grapes. Duh, Kayla.

Despite my lack of sleep, I was totally ready to get out of bed this morning. I just wanted to move around and hope that my stomach would soon feel better. I threw in a load of laundry and got my workout on! Today was a 30 minute full body workout that I created in my head. Side note: I did study to become a CPT, but never followed through with it (ugh, maybe more on that later), so I like to come up with workouts for myself since I kinda know stuff…kinda. After that, I hopped on my treadmill to end the workout with a quick 1.5 mile run. Luckily, my stomach is starting to feel better after (TMI ahead) many trips to the bathroom. 

Yesterday was a good day! It was pretty rainy on and off all day, but I was super thankful I had the day off with Michael! After blogging in the morning, I threw in a load of laundry and got some work done. I had a nail/lash appointment later in the afternoon, but ended up only getting my nails done because that in itself took two hours and my appointment got pushed back (it was supposed to be in the morning instead). If you follow me on my Instagram, you probably already know my dilemma I was having about both my nails and lashes. Sadly these lashes are still looking pretttyyyy ratchet since so many are missing, and I don’t have another appointment for two more weeks for our vacation. OMG the horror. Fingers crossed she can fit me in at some time soon, or these babies are just going to keep falling off and make me look like a freak.

Once I got out of the salon, Michael and I went to Starbucks and the grocery store. Oh, the joy of adulting. Haha 😉 We were going to go to the movies to see Infinity War, but decided to go this weekend because we had SO many shows on our DVR to watch! They just kept piling up!! Realistically though, we got through four of said shows, and saved the rest for another night. What did we watch? Jersey Shore, Ex on the Beach, Ultimate Flighter (Michael’s show), and S.W.A.T.! Let’s talk about Jersey Shore for a second here, Ronnie is a total mess, and the whole sh** show that is going on through his Instagram account in real life right now for him and his girlfriend (or is it all just for publicity??) is something I cannot keep my eyes away from! It is like a bad car accident where you don’t want to look, but you can’t look away!! Do you agree? I also got a kick out of Pauly D (as always) screaming “Guy-lites, yeah!” (talking about Ron’s hair…HAHA) I pretty much died in laughter. Speaking of those highlights, WTF are those?

Alright guys, I have an exciting and important date coming up!! It is Running In Tiaras’ one year blog-iversary on Friday, May 4!!! That is this Friday!! Be sure to check back here and my social media accounts for all the fun! 🙂

It’s back to work today for this girl, so I gotta run!!

  1. Happy Tuesday!! I’m a total dingbat I totally said in a meeting this morning happy Wednesday… I guess that tells me I need more sleep AND I am so ready for the weekend… I have the whole weekend to myself and I’m so looking forward to it!!
