Hey hey party people! Happy Thursday! I am back in action and it feels so good to be back on the blog after a week away in paradise! I hope you have had a fantastic week and haven’t missed me too much…I kid, I kid…but I do hope you followed along on my Instagram stories filled with all of the fun that was happening while I was away!
First and foremost, vacation was absolutely amazing. I will have full recaps about the whole thing, but for now…just know that it was exactly what we needed and was definitely the best time of my life.
Yesterday was a super long day of traveling and it feels good to not have to get on two airplanes today. I still feel a big jet lagged or whatever you wanna call it…you know the feeling that you are floating in the air and feel like you are all wobbly and going to fall over at some point? Yup. That’s currently me. I really dislike having connecting flights and wish the 35 minute flight from the Bahamas to Florida was our only flight…that would be so amazing, I told Michael that if we did live in Florida (my dream) we would totally have to just go to the Bahamas all the time because of that short flight! (Haha. Joking.)
I think it might be safe to say that I am getting somewhat BETTER with flying…can you believe it? My anxiety wasn’t on a full time high during all of our flights and I wasn’t freaking out like usual. Could it be I am finally getting used to it?! Oh please Lord!!
We all know the post vacation blues are always strong over here, but knowing that we have a countdown to Disney going on now makes it a little easier to come back to real life. We have a chalkboard sign in our living room that always has a countdown to a vacation, so getting home from one just to countdown to another one makes it not so bad! Wouldn’t it be nice to be on vacation forever? Michael says that would get boring and that you need contrast, and even though I think it would be totally glamorous, I get what he means about needing the contrast of real life and vacation life, but a girl can dream.
It really is back to real life; Michael has already gone to work and I am going back to work today also. I’ve done a big load of laundry this morning and cleaned up this place a bit. It was kinda hard to get up today and once I did I had no idea where I was. I must have been sleep walking all day yesterday (I was so exhausted) and didn’t remember anything that happened when I woke up today. My body was getting used to going to sleep way past my bedtime and waking up a little later than usual that I think it will take me a little while to get used to this whole real life thing. I did get in a great 35 minute HIIT run this morning! While on vacation I hit up the gym a couple times and still worked out regularly, but I really didn’t make it a priority and fully enjoyed and relaxed on the trip. Let me tell you, that workout this morning kicked my butt and I am feeling great!
I have embraced the wavy/curly/frizzy hair that I have guys. I know I mentioned it in my last post, but my hair is naturally this way…I didn’t get some magic “perm” or anything. I just get out of the shower, brush it, put ALL THE THINGS in it, let it dry/blowdry it for a little, and poof! Crazy, big, wavy, island hair! True story: I have always hated my hair curly, but I have started to hate it straight too so I figured I would switch it up and embrace the curls too!
I am excited for my DD coffee and Live with Kelly and Ryan this morning, but let’s be honest, I would much rather be having coffee and breakfast outside with a view of the pool and ocean. That sounds much better to tell you the truth.
Alright, sorry for the short picture-less post! I will make up for it with all of our photos from vacation soon! 😉
Have a fabulous day!! Xoxo ♥♥
