Dinner at Garden Grill

Good morning!! Happy FRIDAY!! We made it to the end of the week once again! Do you have any weekend plans? I am not sure what I am doing, but I am definitely looking forward to it, now just to get through today and tomorrow. (Anyone else have to work on Saturday’s and think it is so not fair?)

Before jumping into today’s post, I just want to say that I am so grateful that I am able to get real and honest on here, even though most of the time it is all fun and energetic. I appreciate each and every one of you readers, and appreciate all of the messages and love always! And all of my silent readers, I see you, I WAS YOU for the longest time before I started this…don’t be shy!

Yesterday was a great day. I left work a little earlier than usual because I had therapy! Finally!! It had been like a month since my last appointment and I was totally all over the place (especially after that post yesterday, as you can imagine), making the what should have been an hour session, into almost two hours…oops. I can’t even tell you how much it has been helping me just actually get to talk about my life, my feelings, everything and anything without judgement or anything.

This morning started off with a 20 minute cardio and ab workout, and then a fabulous run on my treadmill. It’s so funny because I really didn’t even want to workout this morning, I was like totally fine with not working out this morning, buttt mannnn was I wrong and I am so glad I did. The channel I was listening to on Pandora this morning was totally everything I needed to hear in this moment and had me all over the place from dancing like a fool, singing, crying, to running so fast with a huge smile on my face. It must have been a sight to see, luckily no one saw me because I was on my treadmill..haha! The perks of working out at home: look like a fool and no one will see you! 😉 It was fantastic. I blame the Lord for that, just so we are clear here. Now I am sure today is going to be a great day!

I’m back at it today with another recap from our Disney trip! Missed any of the other fun? Find our room at Saratoga here, dining at the Grand Floridian Cafe here, dinner at Chef Mickey’s here, breakfast at Cape May Cafe here, dinner at ‘Ohana here, and dinner at California Grill here!

Dinner at Garden Grill

Garden Grill is located inside The Land at Disney’s Epcot. It is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and is a family-style, all you care to enjoy restaurant. You get to meet Chip, Dale, Pluto, and the main mouse himself, Mickey during Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Harvest Feast!! This is a slowly rotating restaurant, circling you around the Living with the Land attraction, which means you get a different scene ALL the time! Don’t worry, you don’t really notice that you are rotating unless you look at the floor…but then it just freaks you out a little bit. Haha. Joking. 😉

I absolutely LOVE Garden Grill because the food is FRESH and the vegetables are literally grown in the Living with the Land attraction. It is so good! Just like everywhere else, I informed the hostess at check-in that I had an ‘allergy’ and was gluten free/vegan. Garden Grill has it’s own vegan/vegetarian menu, which I LOVE! I pretty much told our waitress that I basically wanted my own salad with the dressing on the side, and lots of veggies…I didn’t even need the whole platter, but of course they do not disappoint and bring out a huge FEAST for each guest no matter what! First, our waitress brought out gluten free/vegan rolls for me, and regular rolls for Michael, along with our Farmer’s salads. The Farmer’s Salad includes lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, and radishes.

If you remember when we dined here before, I was given a ‘meatloaf’ in my vegan platter, but I think since this time I requested my meal to be both vegan and gluten free, I was given something else instead of that ‘meatloaf’. I am not sure what it was this time, but it was full of spices, but Michael said it was very good. I was more focused on those veggies and my salad, all of which I requested more plates of, of course! My platter also included rice pilaf, fresh seasonal veggies, and french fries. Michael’s platter included home-style pot roast, all natural sliced turkey breast, carved pork with apple chutney, buttermilk mashed potatoes, herb and leek stuffing, fresh seasonal veggies, french fries and macaroni and cheese.

Woo! Talk about a FEAST! Along with all of that food, the characters are SO MUCH FUN!

Chip and Dale are the stars of the experience, and definitely put on a show for us.

Mickey is adorable in his little farmer’s outfit!

For dessert, our waitress brought out a (huge) plate of strawberry shortcake for Michael, along with a bowl of fruit for me!

We left extremely happy, with full bellies as you can imagine. 🙂

Have a great weekend, loves! Xoxo ♥♥
