“Rain days” should be a thing

Good morning! Happy Wednesday! I hope your week is going well.

I am so glad the whole dress dilemma is over. I think that was the most unnecessarily stressful thing this month. I received an email from RTR stating that I would be getting a credit for my purchases, but I still have yet to see it anywhere, so I will keep an eye on that for the next 10 days to see if it appears..I have a feeling it may just be a credit to the website, but that wouldn’t be any help to me because I will not ever be using their website again.

Let’s back up to Monday, since I totally was absent on the blog yesterday. It was a very rainy, chilly day outside which totally put a damper on the day. But, Michael had an appointment in Boston, so we spent our afternoon in Boston and then got stuck in some nasty traffic trying to come back home. Side note: If you leave Boston any time between 4:30-6:30, expect to be stuck in traffic. We couldn’t get away with missing it because we got done his appointment at 5:45, so we eventually got home around 8pm. It was a long day, but I was thankful I got to spend that time with my husband. At least we were stuck in traffic together, instead of alone. I would much rather spend the time with him than not, so being stuck in traffic with him isn’t that bad at all. We put on some bumpin’ music as I tried to speed home (trust me, I was not speeding at all, it was down pouring and I could hardly see out of my windshield especially when someone was in front of us) and instead of being annoyed about the traffic, we had some dance parties. Dance parties fix everything, by the way!

Since we only got home from Boston around 8ish, we (well, Michael) put on football which meant we had to wait another day to watch some of our shows that we had on DVR (like POWER! Ah!). I think driving to Boston and being in a doctor’s office all afternoon wore us out, because we were both super tired and couldn’t wait for bedtime.

Yesterday morning started with a 4 mile run/incline walk. These past couple of days I’ve woken up with a sore throat…kinda like that raw feeling you get before a cold or something. Luckily I think my body is fighting it since I rarely get sick, I normally just feel like it is the beginning stages of a cold or something and then it never really develops. So, I have been drinking lots of tea and trying to kick whatever this is! I blame the weather. It rains, is chilly, and then the next minute (like yesterday) it is humid and sunny. That’s crazy New England for you.

Michael and I got to watch the season finale (crying about having to wait until 2019 for more) of Power last night, and oh my gosh. If you are a fan of Power and haven’t watched the last episode, please please do yourself a favor and watch it….while holding your breath. I literally could not breathe the whole time and was watching while hiding behind my loveys Stella Lou and Cookie. HAHA. So adult of me. Watching Power while hiding behind my stuffed animals. Don’t judge! We also watched Floribama Shore…I love Nilsa and think both her and Snooki should be my best friends forever.

I’m in need of a new book. I finished Crazy Rich Asians last week, along with The Island. I enjoyed both, and I could go get the other series of Crazy Rich Asians, but I’d rather read something new. Please share some recommendations! I feel like I have read a million (because I literally have) and always have the hardest time finding a new one if my Kindle doesn’t recommend something to me that interests me right away as I finish a book. I think I might make a trip to Barnes & Noble..even though I love (and usually prefer) reading a book on my Kindle, there’s something special about having an actual book, holding it in your hands, and turning the pages. Am I right?

I was finally able to give Gio his toy that I got shipped from Amazon last week. Poor boy had to wait so long for it, since that was another package issue! I mentioned it Monday that I was supposed to get it last Friday…but it ended up trying to be delivered in Natick, so it was finally delivered on Monday. I wasn’t able to bring it over to him until yesterday after work since I was busy on Monday. He was super excited, and already has a new toy in mind to get. It really is just an action figure type thing for his Disney Infinity game. I am glad each one isn’t expensive, so that way I can get these things for him often. Well, not that often, but you get what I mean!

Today is another yucky day outside…rain included. Boo. But, anything is better than a hurricane. Even though I don’t really like all the seasons and often wish we lived somewhere down south, I am very thankful we aren’t getting hit with the hurricane. I am keeping everyone that is the path of this hurricane in my thoughts and prayers! Please stay safe and escape to somewhere else if you can…escaping to somewhere like Disney World would be fun!

I started the day with a 30 minute full body circuit workout followed by a 30 minute incline walk. I finished with 10 minutes of planks, and called it a day. Once again I am super sore! Ahh!! I have high hopes that my body is fighting this cold or whatever you want to call it. I don’t really feel ‘better’ today, but I don’t feel worse, and my throat is just like a sore feeling not anything real bad. I just hope it doesn’t actually turn into anything!

I think we should have “rain days” where you get to stay home, snuggle up in a blanket, watch Real Housewives all day, and not have to go to work if it is raining out all day long…just like snow days! Don’t you agree? 😉 If only that was a thing.

I hope you have a wonderful day! (Rain or shine!) Xoxo ♥♥
