Hello! Good morning! Happy FRIDAY! The weekend is here!

Woo, this has been a looooong week my friends and I must say I am very happy today is Friday. I actually thought yesterday was Friday…that was rough when I realized it was actually only Thursday. Isn’t that the worst? Do you have any fun plans for the weekend?

Yes, this week has been a LONG week but it has been a good one! Michael and I have been getting to spend the evenings together which is always my favorite, and even though work has been a little slow this week, my Mama and I have been trying to have fun with it (instead of being negative and in a bad mood about it), which had me feeling like I was going crazy yesterday as I was hopping along the floor pretending parts of the rug was “fire”. Haha. Do you remember that game when you were young? I can’t be the only one who played the floor tiles were water or fire. C’mon guys! Anyways, why not play games and have fun in life no matter what the circumstances are or what you are doing!? I’m a very lucky girl since I get to work with my Mama and we get to have fun, but I truly think it is all about mindset. Whether you think your situation is “bad” or “good”, it will be whatever you think it is. Have a bad attitude, and you will probably have a bad day. Have a good attitude, and have a good day! My workouts these past two days haven’t been the best, and I blame that on my not so nice lady friend and whatever this cold thing is that I am getting/fighting. (It’s mainly in my throat today and it feels like my throat is too small to swallow or something.) Yesterday started with a 45 minute run/incline walk, which was totally mainly an incline walk because I probably didn’t even run for longer than 15 minutes. I finished it off with about 10 minutes of planks. This morning started with a 20 minute circuit workout, then 20 minutes of intervals on the treadmill. I did what I usually do for sprints; 30 seconds sprint, 30 seconds off, and repeated that for the 20 minutes. After that was a dance party in my kitchen before I showered and got ready for the day. I just love a dance party, you should try it. 

I had counseling (or therapy, whatever you wanna call it) yesterday and I was pretty much running there with excitement. (Okay, I was driving, but same thing.) I cannot tell you enough of how GOOD this has been for me! I mean, if the only good thing I got out of it was that it got Michael and I to church, than that would still be so good, but no, it has really helped me immensely. I thank God of course, because it is more of like a spiritual session rather than a “normal” counseling session, but it honestly is exactly what I wanted back in June when I originally was seeking out some help. I know I said it before, but if you missed that post where I briefly mentioned it, do yourself a favor and go to therapy. I promise you it will be so good for you, and even though it is hard to admit that maybe you need some “help” in some areas of your life, it is worth it. And, trust me, I know girl, I was there, crying on the other end of the phone call because some “counselor” asked me “why do you need my services?” which is the simplest question but it came off sort of rude to me that she was asking me this over the phone even before she let me make an appointment with her (which, I cancelled, obviously, and thank the Lord I did) because HELLO LADY! I have issues I need to work through! Anyways, I leave therapy feeling lighter inside and just all around happier. Self care is SO IMPORTANT! I have THE BEST NEWS EVER!!!! Michael and I booked our mini getaway for next week just last night! I am so beyond excited and a little shocked that I did that because when am I ever spontaneous like that? Hardly ever. But I am now I guess. I am just SO excited to get away with my husband, relax, and have some fun! You bet this weekend will be filled with SHOPPING for me!!! I must go shopping for some new dresses and hopefully some new bathing suits. I type bathing suits and laugh because I know I probably won’t be able to find any in the stores around here right now, I am clearly going crazy thinking that I would find any summer things…maybe on sale?! We’ll see, but I don’t care to turn this into a dilemma. The point of a vacation is to relax and have no stress, even if I don’t have the perfect bathing suits and dresses. So, no stress it is…dress or no dress! (Um, but you know that is false, I will find all the dresses to bring, but I promise not to make a problem out of it.) 😉 I can’t wait for palm trees, the beach, and all the tropical things!! YAAAY! I am currently doing a happy dance typing this up, can you tell? giphy.gif
