Tuesday Traffic & Airplane Ticket Stress

Hey hey! Happy Wednesday!! We made it to the middle of the week, friends! I hope you are having a fantastic one!

How about some mid-week rambles to catch you up on what’s been going on over here in my world!?!

Yesterday started with a 30 minute circuit before getting ready to go to Boston for Michael’s doctors appointment. Traffic going into Boston was TERRIBLE, it took us a whole 2 hours when it usually takes us only an hour, which was pretty annoying. But instead of having a bad time in traffic, Michael was our DJ (I was driving) and we had a dance party the whole time. When we finally got to the doctors office, we had to wait an hour and forty five minutes to then be put into a room to only wait another 20 minutes to see the doctor. Talk about a morning filled with testing our patience. We totally aced that test of patience though, since we weren’t angry or anything, we were just kind of disappointed about all of the waiting around. It didn’t ruin our day at all! The good news: we don’t have to go back until the beginning of January, so that is really some great news. The not so great news: Michael is still pretty much being attacked by some stones in his salivary glands, but we are praying that it dissolves or just comes out on its own. (Thank you for your prayers and love too for my sweet husband!)

We got home from Boston around 1:40 when I quickly ate lunch and headed to work for the afternoon. Once I was out of work I went over to my sister’s house for some play time with my nephews, then it was back home to get Michael and go run some errands. Michael and I went to Target to find some of my favorite dressing….even though I knew they didn’t have any (I called the other day, and the sales associate told me they were all out, but they get orders in on Thursday, so they wouldn’t have any until then, if that). Okay, remember when I went last time and found one in back of all of the other dressings? I had literally climbed on top of the shelf and moved all of the other dressings and searched for just one Poppyseed one…so when I ended up finding it, I knew that I bought the last one. (And apparently according to the sales associate I talked to on the phone the other day, he said they were all out of them and wouldn’t get any in until Thursday). So, I was pretty much just praying there would be one for me to buy yesterday, somehow. Well, get this! I once again moved all of the Panera dressings off of the shelf to find ONE Poppyseed dressing in the back!! Michael was a sweetie and climbed on top of the shelf to grab that ONE lonely dressing just waiting for me to buy! I literally couldn’t believe there was one, because I promise you there was only that one I bought last time. I happy danced all the way out of Target and all through the rest of our errands until we came home for dinner where I so happily poured some of that dressing onto my salad. YUM. Side note: I can’t stand any other dressing besides this one. I usually get dressing on the side whenever we are dining out, and hardly use any, or ask for balsamic vinegar to pour on my salad. And when I am out of this stuff I would rather go without dressing and pour some fresh pineapple juice on my salad…since I put fruit in my salad every day anyways. Yes, I am a weirdo, and I only have a select number of things that I like/agrees with me. And this dressing is one! Don’t judge me. 😉

Okay, so I admit I totally waited until pretty much last minute to book our Disney plane tickets which is LESS THAN two weeks. Why? Well first of all, I usually wait until about a month in advance to book our flights anyways no matter what, and we are now bound to take spontaneous trips which means we are booking our flights last minute anyways. Second, I was waiting to see if Michael would be able to go, since having that procedure and everything. But in the mean time, I have been stalking the JetBlue website for about a month looking at prices/points and pricing out our flights, only to find that the flights went from $100 (per person/per flight) up to $300+ (per person/per flight). OH. MY. GOSH. That was startling because they had been so cheap for quite a while, but I guess I should have seen that coming. And I don’t know about you, but booking flights in the first place makes me stress out and super anxious, but add on another $200+ a person for one way and that makes me CRAZY stressed out. Luckily I was able to search several airports around us that we could fly out of/into, and found flights where we could use points for one, and buy the other. So, I got that checked off the list last night! Anyone else with me on feeling like booking flights is like signing your life away? Because that is totally what I feel like every time I book airplane tickets. Haha.

I kind of slept awful last night…I totally need a new pillow. My head/neck kill every morning and my eyes twitch like crazy all day long, so I MUST get myself a new pillow. I literally have been reminding Michael every day for the past 2 weeks that we need to go to Bed Bath & Beyond to buy a new pillow for me and then every night when I fluff my pillow up before getting into bed we are like “Oh no! We forgot again!” It never fails. Hopefully we will be able to get to BB&B to get a new pillow. It will feel glorious. I can’t wait for that moment, guys. Anyways, despite that lousy sleep, I got up and got my workout on first thing this morning. I started with a 20(ish) minute circuit to get my body moving which looked like this: 50 jumping jacks, 40 squats, 30 crunches, 20 push ups, 10 burpees…repeating that 3 times through. (I saw this on Pinterest years ago.) Then I ran 3.5 miles on the treadmill and ended with 10 minutes of planks. Now I am working and definitely looking forward to the end of the day, I’m not going to lie. It is a beautiful fall day outside! (Chilly, but beautiful!)

I hope you have a great Wednesday! Xoxo ♥♥
