The only comparison you should be doing is making yourself better than you were before!

Hey hey! Happy Monday beautiful people! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and as always, thank you so much for reading my blog today!

Did you do anything fun this past weekend? My weekend has consisted of getting some Christmas things done off our Christmas list, lots of workouts, and spending some time with Michael! Today is still considered a weekend day for me, and I’m (as always) so grateful for it! I am getting my hair done later this morning and I hope to get a few things checked off my to do list today! (I must get a couple more gifts, and I have to return an entire order at Express…which I mayyyyy brave the stores today but probably not).

There are EIGHT DAYS until Christmas Day which means only ONE WEEK until Christmas Eve!! Eeeeeek! This month is FLYING by!! Luckily I am very close to being done my shopping and just have all the wrapping left to do. What about you? Are you finished Christmas shopping?

So I know I didn’t blog on Friday, and I guess that is because I was feeling a little less than, and ya know what? That is okay. We all have those days and we all have those times when we need to push past those feelings and realize that these are in fact LIES and are not true at all! But we also need to remember to not feel this way often. It is hard sometimes, especially when you are constantly scrolling through social media and seeing people’s (un)real life, which seems perfect in pictures but in all reality they probably all go through things just like us ‘normal’ people. But wait a minute, aren’t these people who we follow on social media just NORMAL PEOPLE TOO? They are normal, even in the spotlight. Along with feeling this way, it can be really easy for me to get stuck in the comparison trap…which I have talked about on here before, and even though I try to not compare myself, my life, or my blog to other people/very successful bloggers, it is hard. I guess my issue is getting stuck in the mindset of “no one reads my blog. No one cares what I am doing, because my daily life is so boring. Blah blah blah.” But I don’t post in here for the purpose of being “liked” or having millions of readers…I am a-okay with having any number of readers, and I need to realize that even though I think my life is ‘boring’, for some reason people keep coming back (I hope?) to read about my life happenings. I started this blog for the number one reason being because I LOVE to write, and I LOVE to read other lifestyle blogs, so I thought it would be a fun thing for me to do since I have been reading blogs for the past 11+ years. I have been putting so much pressure on myself to come up with these elaborate blog posts and then I end up deleting the whole draft because it feels forced, which results in no blog post. I am done comparing myself to other successful bloggers. I am done trying to come up with these “amazing” blog posts. I am done trying to force a blog post when the creative juices just aren’t flowing because there are a million other things going on in my brain. Instead of all of that, I am just going to focus on being ME! Being 100% okay with being who I am, and writing what I want. Because hellooooo….this is my blog! But I do want YOUR input in what I am writing about, so if you have anything you want to read from me (or hate reading from me) let me know! Shoot me an email or a DM on Instagram! I would LOVE to hear from you!

Do you ever feel like you are less than and compare yourself to someone else’s life or someone else’s successes? It doesn’t even have to be about blogging, but just about everyday life. It can be SO easy to do it, but we all (mainly I am talking to myself here, haha) need to remember that we are each so very blessed with this life and we need to remember to NOT compare ourselves to anyone else. Because ultimately, the only comparison you should be doing is making yourself better than you were before, or having a better day than you had yesterday...etc. Can I get an AMEN?!?

Anyways, speaking of the gram, if you follow me, you already have seen my super sweaty post workout selfies daily…but as always, I am here to recap some workouts I’ve done in the past couple days! Friday morning started with a 30 minute incline walk, and then two amazing obé workouts. I did a define sculpt class and then a sweat dance class. Saturday I did another define sculpt and sweat dance class (different trainer, different classes even when the names of the classes are the same, guys) on obé. Sunday started with another define sculpt and sweat dance class (again, from a different trainer, and a different class) and then AGAIN two more classes in the afternoon…because for some reason I have been LOVING getting a super sweaty hour long workout in at noon on Sundays. It is so freeing to me to be able to get my sweat on in the afternoon after church. I was toasted after all of that though, and definitely woke up this morning feeling sore. But, of course I started the day with a 20 minute incline walk, then two super duper sweaty booty kicking obé workouts…which again were define sculpt and sweat dance. Like I just said though, just because it is the same name of the class or even the same trainer does not mean it is the same exact class as before. But the great thing is most of these workouts are on replay so if you feel not so great doing a workout and want to go back and really give it your all and get familiar with it (and repeat it) then you can. But I am REALLY enjoying these obé workouts because the classes are always different and you can do all different kinds of workouts (I have been loving sculpt, strength, power, dance, HIIT, and circuit…so I guess pretty much all of them, haha) with top trainers from NYC! Ahhh! I am literally obsessed! I am so glad I took the first step of signing up three weeks ago (come tomorrow it will officially be three weeks) because it was the kick in the booty that I needed to really LOVE fitness again. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I have always loved fitness and have loved getting a workout in everyday, but it was kind of boring and I was feeling blah about doing the treadmill every single day and then making up my own workouts. It worked, but I think my body is really getting a push now because I keep changing it up and it is constant 28 minutes (well, an hour since I usually do at least two classes at a time) of MOVING your booty with little breaks. I haven’t felt this motivated, determined, or so HAPPY about my workouts for a couple years now. What workouts have YOU been loving?! I would love to know!!

That’s all I got today, folks! I hope you have an amazing Monday! Let’s start this week of in a great way! Xoxo
