How I Stay Motivated To Workout Everyday

Hi friends! Happy Friday!

If you are new around here, welcome! I am SO glad you are here, really, you have no idea how excited I am! And, if you have been reading for some time , I am so appreciative of you, thank you, than there’s a pretty good chance that you already know that I workout every day, and I love it. I’ve been getting some questions lately about what keeps me motivated, and honestly, I just LOVE moving my body, working out, running, being fit and healthy…some call me crazy, I call it MOTIVATED. šŸ˜‰

So, if you are in need of some tips on how to stay motivated to work your booty out, I hope this blog post helps you!

How I Stay Motivated To Workout Everyday (Tips for you!)

Those post-sweat endorphins are motivating in itself.
And super addicting if you ask me. If ever I am in a bad mood or just feel yucky and blah, I MOVE MY BODY! I get a workout in and do something to get my heart rate up. Trust me on this one, you will feel a million times better after your workout due to those endorphins! Your mind, your body, and your EVERYTHING will thank you, and will feel better!

Change your mindset on working out.
Don’t think of it as a punishment. Think of it as a BLESSING that you CAN move your body! You have the ability to work your muscles and strengthen them…how amazing is that!?!

Set a goal.
This goal could be anything like running a half marathon, feeling better about yourself in the tiny bikini that you are going to wear on vacay, take a HIIT class without stopping, or just simply setting a goal of how many days you want to workout this week. Whatever the goal is, define it, write it down, and stick to it!

Schedule your workouts.
I workout in the morning, because I know that if I don’t workout in the morning I will feel sluggish for the rest of the day and I probably won’t want to move my body later. If your schedule looks crazy busy, or even if it is wide open for the whole entire day, scheduling your workout time can help you MAKE TIME. I hear it so often of people “not having enough time” and being “so busy”, and I get it…that’s with everything in your life, but if you want to do it, you will make time. Pencil your workout into your calendar just like you pencil everything else in.

Switch it up.
Doing different workouts will challenge your body and make it so that your muscles aren’t getting used to the exercises, and will most definitely keep you motivated. This is another reason why I love doing obĆ© fitness because there are so many different classes to pick from, and no two classes are the same! I used to do the same thing every single day years ago (fast incline treadmill walking, for 1 hour, every single day…nothing else) and that got boring real fast.. Switching up your routine and challenging yourself to try new things (like a HIIT class, or even a dance class) will challenge your body…which will give you the results you want! And helloooo, seeing results keeps you motivated!!

Remember why you started.
Read that again. Remember why you started! You aren’t going to give up on yourself now, are you? Did you begin your fitness journey to loose weight? Did you being your fitness journey to feel better about yourself? Or did you begin your fitness journey to be a healthier version of yourself? Whatever it is, DON’T give up on that! You don’t want to give up and start again, do you?

Trick your mind.
“I will do 10 minutes and then if I still don’t want to workout after those 10 minutes I will stop.” Whenever I need the motivation to workout (which hasn’t happened in months) I tell myself to just “do 10 minutes and if at the end of that 10 minutes I want to stop, I will”. Never did I want to stop! The hardest part is showing up. Show up for yourself, and you won’t want to stop!!

Get new workout clothes.
I don’t know about you, but even though I workout in the comfort of my home and no one sees me, putting on a new sports bra and tank top puts a little more oomph in my step!

Reward yourself.
No, I’m not talking about “rewarding yourself with dessert or junk food”. Food is not a reward. Food is food! Reward yourself with a massage, a new book, shopping, a manicure or pedicure, etc. Whatever it is, you deserve it after all of that hard work!

YOU WILL NEVER REGRET A WORKOUT.
But on the flip side, I bet you will regret not doing a workout.

PS: I am not a professional. These are just some of the things that help keep me motivated!

Now it’s your turn!
What motivates you to workout??
